Reviews for Everything I've Ever Done

The ending of this chapter had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes! "...moves with the pace and accuracy of an inchworm." I'm dying.

Author's Response: Thanks. I had fun writing those evaluations.

Very insightful chapter. My favorite observation was this: "Instead he was as thin-skinned and hotheaded as – she grimaced – as Ron! Only more unforgiving. Considering how those two still hated each other, it was funny to notice how alike they were, loyal, stubborn, proud and unreasonable. However Snape didn’t have Ron’s kindness or humour – or his large loving family. He was like a darker angrier Ron, Ron as he might have been if he’d been bullied and alone."

Author's Response: Thanks. Fanon always seems to compare Snape to Harry or Voldemort, and he's really very little like either, for all JK brackets them to9gether in DH as "the lost boys who found a home in Hogwarts". (TBH, I've never believed Hogwarts was a home for Snape. A prison, maybe; not a home.)

I really like that this story is two in one - the exploration of Percy's relationship with his family offers a valuable insight into some of the gaps left by canon and an alternate view to what JK offers us through Harry Potter. A well-written pair of tales. Thank you for writing it.

Author's Response: Thanks. I separated the two stories on ffnet, but kept them together here. Percy gets a bad rap in fanon, when he's only doing what almost every teenager/young adult does: reject the family's "received wisdom" and form his own opinion. I've always thought that his distrust of Dumbledore was much more reasonable than his family's unthinking trust of the headmaster who failed to keep their youngest safe and repeatedly encouraged their second-youngest into danger.

If Hermione thinks Ricky is 'the best looking guy she'd met since school', then she must like large noses.

Author's Response: Large noses, dark hair, pale complexions... ^.~

"Not til Slope and Professor Hooch had fallen". Would that be Obadiah Slope ?

Author's Response: Nope, LOL, random Quidditch-playing student. (Should read Sloper. According to HPL: "Jack Sloper joined the team as a Beater after Fred and George Weasley were banned from playing. Sloper was a poor player, once hitting Angelina in the mouth with his bat during a match. He seemed to have quite a bit of trouble with his bat, actually, since during one practice he managed to knock himself out with it.")

Get a room, you two.

Author's Response: Give 'em time...

"What sort of parent gave their child a difficult to pronounce name like Severus, anyway?" says the woman who named her daughter Hermione. Pot, meet Kettle.

Author's Response: Indeed, LOL. Difficulty is in the mouth of the beholder.

That was so great. Thank you.

Author's Response: Thanks. It's an oldie. I'm glad to hear it's still a goodie :))
