Hello!

I, Kay, do solemnly swear to review all the fics I read, regardless of the number of reviews, its age, or anything else.

I have joined the review revolution.

So, recently I was made aware of this wonderful, extremely popular forum, known as The Reviews Lounge, Too. It's a forum dedicated to stories that are under-reviewed and generally promotes the constructive reviewing of fanfictions. I'm proud to say that I have joined it. It is amazing: do check it out if you agree with what it promotes.

I have my own blog now! clutteredcloud.wordpress.com Please do check it out if you're interested. I'd really appreciate it. All of my fanfiction work will also be published there (in hopefully, an easy to read format), along with general comments and ramblings from me. Also, within the chapters, there will be no author's note, so "hurray!" for no annoying distractions when reading! :)

A little bit about me:

I'm a girl (I feel like, now, I should be describing myself as a "young adult"), who is nearing the end of her teen years (Oh no! I won't have a viable excuse for my immaturity any more. Once you're twenty, you simply have to be responsible). I'm actually a scientist by trade, but I love writing in my spare time: it helps me collect my thoughts, and I've always appreciated the beauty of languages. I find it fascinating that certain combinations of words can evoke such an emotional response because they paint an entirely too vivid picture.

I suppose my love for reading and writing also stems from the fact that I have a wild imagination. Honestly, it is wild! The most random things pop into my head sometimes. Bunny rabbits riding dragons into forests of marshmallows kind of random. I think that's why I enjoy writing fanfiction: it gives my something to channel my thoughts towards.

That being said, I don't claim to be an amazing writer. Just because I enjoy something and love it, does not automatically make me good at it. Although I hope when you read my stories, you think they are well-written, I can't say that as a fact, unlike a lot of the amazing writers on here. What I can promise is that in each and every chapter of my stories, you will find decent punctuation and grammar. I do my best to make sure that I carry out that promise: I won't slack on it.

After reading a lot of Harry Potter fanfiction, I decided to finally post one of my own Hermione/Severus fanfic. For The Greater Good is a story in which Hermione joins as a Death Eater, in order to be a spy for the order. It is a cacophony of plots, as there is romance, action, angst and general drama mixed into one (and promising to be extremely long) fanfiction. Hopefully, if you read it, you'll think that it works, and although it is bound to be long, it does not go stale. There is Draco and Lucius, and Remus and Sirius thrown into the mix as well, as they are important supporting characters. Don't worry, I don't pretend Harry and Ron don't exist, and they will be a big part of this story, especially later on. After all, he is still the Boy Who Lived.

As you might have already guessed, my favourite character is Hermione Granger. I think that she was a brilliant character who was not written to her full potential in the books. Although J K kept her characteristic intelligence, I felt that she allowed her to settle for Ron. I don't think there is anything with Ron as a character, I actually really enjoy reading about him, it's just that with how often they fought and their clashing personalities, I never thought they would make a great couple. Hermione was always ambitious, searching for the next best thing to conquer, always looking to improve herself through her never-ending thirst for knowledge, and I think that was lost as the series continued on. Consequently, I enjoy reading stories in which she has a strong personality. In any stories I write, you can be sure that she will have a large part to play in the war effort and will be an extremely strong, determined and powerful character, just as she should be, in my opinion.

Severus Snape was one of the, if not the true hero of the series. I think, if written well, him and Hermione share quite a few characteristics which is why I love reading and writing about them. I suppose you could consider them my "OTP". Out of all the characters J K created, I think he was the most complex, conflicted and three-dimensional character in the entire series. There are just so many layers to his personality, and I enjoy attempting to express them all. And, lets be honest, who doesn't love a little bit of spy-work in a story (or a man)?

Anyway, I hope you enjoy any story I put up. I should warn you, I do not promise to update as frequently as some would like. Writing fanfiction is a hobby of mine, which I place below day-to-day work on my priorities list. So, if I am swamped with work, I will not go out of my way to write another chapter. However, I do promise to continue writing, even if it takes me a while.

Thank you for visiting :)

Kay

For The Greater Good by kaygemini [Reviews - 100]
"I can get you Harry Potter," she whispered. "And the traitor Snape. In fact, I promise to hand them to you on a silver platter."

She watched his ashen, pale face twist into a cruel, serpentine smile. With a flick of his wand, she felt her entire body rupture with the agony of a thousand knives. The feared mark of evil glowed the deep scarlet of her blood, confirming her true allegiance. On her left forearm, now lay the infamous Dark Mark.

And that is how, on the 19th of September, 1997, Hermione Granger celebrated her 18th Birthday.
