Hermione pushed open the door into the large, rambling house Spinner's End had become over the years. "Severus!" she called.

He poked his silver-haired head through the library door. "Yes, Hermione?"

She smiled and kissed him. "No, not you, dear."

Down the hall. "Severus!"

A young woman with long, raven hair. "Yes, Grandma?"

"No, Severa, you misheard."

"Severus!"

An older man with a salt-and-pepper Vandyke. "Yes, Mum?" Hermione shook her head.

"Severus!"

A tiny fellow with messy black curls popped out of a wardrobe. "'Es, Nana? Me Sevvus!"

"There you are, darling!" And she gave her great-grandson a big hug.
