The drawer opened easily, and he quickly pawed through the jumble within until, finally, he found what he was looking for: a photograph, lightly glued to the wood at the bottom. It was a nice one; she was lovely in dark gold robes, her hair clouding around her face. Her photo-self gave the black-haired man a quick buss on the cheek before turning away, missing his perplexed, flushed expression.

Crookshanks neatly nipped the photo onto the desk, partially concealing it under a stray parchment on Snape’s desk.

Right where Hermione would find it when she came to speak with him.
