"Mmm…" Hermione leaned back, stretching sinuously. "Be faster, you know," she murmured, "if you let me do it."

"I prefer doing it myself," Severus replied. "It's not as though it were a particularly difficult task."

"I imagine it's your Muggle side showing through," she mused. "Can't say I mind."

"Then stop complaining."

"I should. Feels heavenly when you do it; I'm always impatient and make a mess of it without magic."

"It's so like you," he commented. "Enthusiastically alive, slightly chaotic, soft at the base…" He continued to pull the brush gently through her hair, which tumbled about his fingers.
