This entire chapter has left me smiling from ear to ear! Beth

Author's Response: I admit that I wish I could hear the Weird Sisters' version of "It Don't Mean a Thing."

Mt dear lady disdain... are you yet living? Is it possible disdain should die when she hath such meet food to feed it as Signor Benedick? Do I get housepoints? ;)

Author's Response: Oh yes -- 20 points for the house of your choice.

You are my hero for not only quoting Shakespeare, but for quoting my favorite of his works.

Author's Response: Mine too!

I liked the "Weird Sisters gone Muggle"; I'd love to hear their version! Oh, well, must remain a dream ... Lady Disdain. Fits. Hm, must go and read Shakespeare again ... You know, it's a little scary - or perhaps only worrying? - to see Snape become nice. Well, nicer than before.

Author's Response: A nicer Snape is worrying indeed -- because it's tricky knowing whether it's the real thing or a manipulation.

omg, i am sorry, but that was bloody amazing!!!! Just the ending was soooo damn good. Sorry, just I have had a looooot of maths and geography coursework recently and this has totally cheered me up! “All yours, Hermione,” he said. AAAAAAAAAW!

Author's Response: Oh good! (College maths and geography, I hope -- this story dealt with some heavy topics.)

Love love love love.... *incoherent garble*

Author's Response: Glad you like it, incoherently or otherwise!

I just watched a movie with Alan Rickman in it, and now I can just hear his voice saying all your Severus's lines.. Whoa, that's amazing! I love your language, and the quotes your Severus uses are delighful! Beautiful, just beautiful..

Author's Response: Alan Rickman doesn't quite match my mental picture of Snape, but his voice is dead-on. If I can't imagine him saying it, I don't put it in Snape's mouth.

“If one considers everything well, one will find something appears to be virtue, which if pursued would be one's ruin, and something else appears to be vice, which if pursued results in one's security and well-being." This is sorta the theme to this whole story, isn't it? I'm not sure I agree with it, but it fits very well with what you are doing. Good job.

Author's Response: Good point -- it certainly could be considered a theme. What I liked about that literary quotation is that, in an ironic sort of way, it shows Snape's transition toward something approximating normal human behavior. He's labeling his earlier behavior "virtue" (or that which appears to be virtue) and his current behavior "vice," when nearly everyone else would swap definitions.
