I wish I could point to one thing that gave me the warm-fuzzies, but I can't. This entire chapter made up of warn-fuzzies. Well done! Beth
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed it -- thanks for reading. |

just loving this, I don't think I am supposed to be sighing and saying ahhhhhhhhhhh as much as I am. I do find it a great consolation that so many other people are having similar reactions to this snape. Can't wait to read more.
Author's Response: Just remember, he's Hermione's "bloody oppressor." A fact that Hermione has to keep reminding herself of, too ... |

Just as proof, my favorite sentences: It was bad for the soul, she reflected moodily, to be forever reminded that one was a possession.
There was an obvious downside, her inner voice added with a bit of bite, to scruples that insisted one must set things right no matter what.
“It's missing something,” he said, the hint of a self-deprecating smile hovering about his lips.
The last one a favorite because it representes why I love Snape in this story. Despite all his obvious emotional hang ups and insecuritys he manages to see humor in his actions / make fun of himself. Even if it is just the damned contract giving him the security to do so, I love that in a man. Rianna
Author's Response: I think a sense of humor -- and particularly the ability to laugh at yourself -- is a critically important skill. |

I know I'm not supposed to like him. I know I'm not. I know it's a imbalanced, wrong relationship, and he's despicable for making it happen - but I like him anyway.
I'm blaming you. ;)
Author's Response: You don't think it's JKR's fault for inventing him? ;-) OK, OK, I admit this is not what she had in mind. |

Oh my, she's become his teddy-bear! So disturbingly sweet! Sweet because it's something like a primal wish of women to belong to someone, and disturbing because in this situation Hermione really does in the-not-so romantic sense. Next stop, angst. Well, a little. Or do I only feel it's there on Severus's part? Back to sweet - she touched him! A great relief, and a little fun at the end. What a roler-coaster!
Author's Response: It's easy to get caught up in the apparent sweetness and miss the disturbing side of it, so it's excellent that you make the distinction -- and that you note precisely how this is disturbing. By dint of what he did in chapter one, every interaction they've had is warped. |

*rave* *rave* *two page long delighted compliment*
Err.. I spent the whole chapter with my hand pressed against my face and the most wonderful expression of delight across it as well.
This is without question my *FAVORITE* SS/HG. I am going to pimp it like [gawd I can't even think of anything to say here, I'm just too excited and such] whenever I'm done.
After I read it again. And again.
Author's Response: Why thank you! That's exceedingly nice to hear. |
