I love you for writing this. I am thoroughly hooked, and cannot wait to see what comes next....!

Author's Response: The idea of the story hooked me and wouldn't let go.

This chapter is SO good. Seeing him going through such a trying day and then coming to Hermione for... succor? Yes, I do believe he came for sucor: "assistance and support in times of hardship and distress.." The way this chapter ended made me very happy for both of them. Ggreat story!!! Beth

Author's Response: Without quite realizing it, he's beginning to believe that human interactions don't always have to be about power. (It's a lesson that costs Hermione a lot to teach.)

It's been YEARS since I've read any Sev/Her fic but this story still rings in my memory. Had to reread this while I'm finally rereading the HP books. :D

Author's Response: Hope it's worth the trip down memory lane.

I am going to be latefor workby writing this review, but I simply cannot express how.much I love this story. Your handling of the dark subject and differing characters is masterly at the least, and the deft sense of humor and oblique glances at the less than savory moments give a poetic view of both sides of the injured villain and thus the story as a whole.

Author's Response: Hope you weren't late after all -- and thanks very much for reading. I'm so glad you found it worth the time.

"3. “I believe I am the Potions master at this school”: House points to you if you recalled that he said the same thing to Lockhart in Chamber of Secrets. Very territory conscious, Snape." Oh, God! Snape in Chamber of Secrets *drewl* Wow! That was just disterbingly (I seem to be using that word a lot...) cute.

Author's Response: Don't tell him that or you'll be in grave danger of being turned into potions ingredients. ;-D

I love what you have done in this story: taken the characters, and as realistically as possible, kept them in character. I particularly enjoyed this last: "Oh, no. The carefully delineated line had been crossed. Daytime Snape was in her bed." Dangerous to her mental balance, indeed. Well done.

Author's Response: Just as Snape is compartmentalizing himself, so is Hermione -- she is not the same during the day, interacting with daytime Snape, as she is at night. I wouldn't be, either.

I know you'll probably never read this but I've got to ask - If she falls in love with him is it stockholms syndrome? Despite that that is my greatest fear I love the story so far!!!!!! Great work.

Author's Response: That's an open question, isn't it?
