One of the strengths of a good poet is the ability to create more questions than answers. Here we are left wondering...does he return? Is he dead? Is she dead and, like the ghosts of Hogwarts, has she chosen to remain in the room? Nicely written and yes, definitely angsty. |

There is an air of mystery about this poem that somewhat reminds me of 'The Listeners' by Walter de la Marre. It is specific and yet vague at the same time, and raises more questions than it answers, but in a compelling, not an exasperating way. I would call it haunting - and perhaps the Forgotten Room is also haunted - by whom or by what? Good job. |

Wonderful!
When I read this, at first I thought that Severus was dead, but now I think that it is Hermione that is dead, but not able to move on... she wants to be out of the light of the candle... her eyes are drained of light... the forgotten room holds nothing but the past and yet she waits in it impatiently for him...

Hmmm...it was nice, but raised more questions for me than it answered. I'd be curious to see it expanded into a fic. ~HR |
