OMG What happened after the battle? I MUST KNOW! Write more, this is very good. 10/10
Author's Response: QueneArual, good to see you! Oh, you'll find out what happens. I've already written part of what happened, and the rest is in the works. Hopefully, I'll have it up soon. Thank you for reviewing! |

Sniff Sniff. This is sad.
Update soon.
Bubs
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing, bubsangel. I'm hoping to get the next chapter up before Christmas, but I can't totally promise it just yet. We'll see. |

You've captured the awkwardness of graveside visits beautifully. The struggle to say something even the inanity of gossip, the surreal quality of speaking to a cold stone and the earth, and the haunting grief which smacks you between the eyes and deep in the heart. Nicely done.
Author's Response: Thank you for your wonderful comments, Bambu! I'm glad you found my portrayal of Hermione's ramblings at Severus' graveside realistic. I, for the most part, avoid graveyards. Have for years, really. As a result, I don't have much of a reference to draw from and thus am going by mostly my own imagings. Thanks for the wonderful review! |

Wow! This chapter is just as moving as the first! So, close to finding out what happened between Snape and Hermoine, and what happened at the battle to kill him... but no cigar. This story is still completely awesome! Keep writing!
Author's Response: *smiles* Nice to see I have your attention, FP! IMHO, cliffhangers are a reader's worst enemy and an author's best friend, besides the reviewers, of course! ;) I'm hoping to have the next chapter up within the next day or so, and a few things will be revealed. Not all, but a few. Thanks for reviewing! |

Ok, you've hooked me.What happened? This is a nice way to keep us up to date on the cast. Loved the Potter twins' names.
Author's Response: Glad to see you like Hermione's "incessant prattling," bookwmnjan! I had several ideas on what Hermione would talk about, and unfortunately, I just wasn't able to get them all in. There was more information about Neville that I originally wanted to put in, but it just couldn't make the cut. And I'm glad you mentioned the names of Harry's sons. I was wondering if anyone sould say something about them. I just couldn't resist giving a little dig at Harry, having one of his sons named for his one-time nemesis! Thanks for reviewing! |

Sigh ... such a lovely story, but so sad. I can just see Hermione at the site, missing Severus and talking to him, without anyone else in this world who truly understands her. She seems so alone, with unfulfilled dreams and hopes. What does she do the rest of the year - is she able to work at all? Has she gone on with her life? I do hope you end this story with a good sense of closure - perhaps reunite them beyond the grave? Thanks for the chapter!
Author's Response: Lovely and sad? Thank you, June! As to what Hermione does the rest of the time, well, your questions should be answered in due time. Patience. ;) I'll do my best to give some closure, and what I have in mind should be a surprise to many. Thanks again! |

This is very sad. And very, very good. I'm enjoying reading this so much more than I ought to (I hate sadness), but I'm very glad that you're sharing this. Please continue. I don't think I could bear to be dropped off at such a cliffhanger. Again, lovely writing.
Author's Response: Thank you very much, Michelle! I myself am not an overt fan of sadness myself. I've read stories that have Hermione thinking about/visiting the graves of her dead friends, and Severus always shows up at the end to offer some sense of comfort to her. So I thought, what if he didn't? What if he was the one she was visiting? Thus this story, against my usual inclinations to write and think in terms of fluff, was born. The third chapter is in the works and I'm hoping to have it up before Christmas. We'll see. Again, thanks for reviewing! |

Still very sad.
Author's Response: Yes, angst is at the source of all of this. Thanks for reviewing, droxy. |
