Reviews for Odds and Ends

Ha i love the bit about the whole bang vs fringe in the authors note. I always considered fringe to be when you have that weird bit of hair in the front that just wont behave and bangs being slightly longer (say a little past your eyes but still shorter than the rest of your hair). So anyways good story. Lol :)

I really like this! I don't often review because I can't think of things to say, but I just wanted to let you know I'm reading and enjoying and hope you write more soon!

That was a little bit confusing. Add more descriptions and it'll be easier to follow. Also, watch spelling mistakes: It's «repects» not «resects».

Author's Response: The way I'm writing this is supposed to be confusing at first. It's meant to be that way, and if it makes readers uncomfortable, I apologize now, but the plot has to unfold slowly. Much like, I imagine, Severus' release into the world after "The End" would be, learning it all slowly and with plenty of confusion. Ahhh, the beauty of the extended metaphor.

“Dieu de mai soit avec vous.” is actually «God of May be with you». You want «Que Dieu soit avec vous.» «Mai» is the month of May.

Author's Response: Oh man. I can't believe I did that. I really need to brush up on the old foreign language thing. Honestly, all I did was put it in on Babel Fish, because I'd forgotten half of it. I will definitely remember not to capitalize May when I type it in there. Hopefully I won't NEED to type it in there again. Thank you for pointing that out to me, so I don't look like a total fool.

Nice story. Who's Athena's mother? I'm very curious!

Author's Response: Honestly, Athena's mother doesn't really tie into the story at all, so unless i get some seriously awesome reviews requesting an identity to Athena's mother, she doesn't really have anything to do with the plot. The way I'm writing this, and you'll soon figure out why, it shouldn't really matter. You just need to know Athena's mother died when Athena was four, and Severus---her father---took her in.

Didn't really understand the bit about Athena. But the bits that made sense were good.

Author's Response: The story doesn't really depend much on Athena's background, so unless someone really begs for it, it's not written into the plot. But the main thing is this: Athena is Severus' daughter, from a woman he barely knew. He didn't know about Athena until she was nearly 4, and only because her mother had died, and she had no other family to go to. And Athena is in love with Hermione from the moment the word "books" comes from her mouth. So there you have it.

Very different. I like it very much. Please write more soon.

Author's Response: Thank you very much. Short and concise. Less typing.

This is certainly an abbreviated encapsulation of the preceding 12 months. I will be interested to see what you choose to do with this.

Author's Response: For the way I wrote this and planned it in my head, it will all be a "breif encapsulation" to use your words, which were so much better than what I would have used to explain this. It's not a very detailed story, and it doesn't focus on things like Athena's mother, or the color of Hermione's dress at the celebration (not that there WAS a celebration). This is just what happens at certain intervals, and truth be told, I kind o flike it that way.
