Wow, just wow. Your story was absolutely riviting. I've been reading it from start to finish and I cannot praise it enough, as a total favorite. I think I have used a good part of a roll of paper towels wiping away my tears. (Kleenix couldn't cut it!) Bravo!!! |

Nice start. Loved the inaccurate parts of the newspaper article. |

what a suberb story! I adored the philosophy, it rang so true and imbued the work with additional pathos. I am truly grateful to you. Please tell me is you have written more, whether fiction or academic opera.

Hmm. I wonder if that wet fish Hermione wants to slap with is like the one Bethany has in her hands in DOGMA. Alan Rickman's "Metetron" character changes the baseball bat she's holding into a fish. |

I beleive it's " la belle dame sans merci", not dans :) it doesn't quite make sense with "on" or "in". |

I stumbled across this in an archive the other day and I've taken all day to read it. I must say that this is a remarkable and wonderfully written piece.
You have my compliments.
Best Regards,

Picture me snorting as I perused the queries you answered at the beginning of chapter 7. I have long been an admirer of John Locke. Never mind about your philosophic references. I, for one, enjoyed a story with some less than unusual references. No, your story is not usual. And no, I will not hold a pity party for your readers who whine that characters, situations and mode of writing are not 'just like always!' For those readers may I suggest that you pick a favorite story and keep rereading it day after day. Don't grow...don't learn new facts...don't expose yourself to different ideas. I went back to school just so that my writing might have more depth and insight. I thirsted for a less scientific approach in my life. I spent thirty years as a Critical Care nurse and was glad when I could finally put down my defibrillator paddles and think about possible outcomes and afterlife. I must admit, it never occurred to me that a ghost might have a vicarious sex life. How about you just keep on...keeping on? JF |
