I don't know what else to say that's already been said; but I'll try. I've read a lot of well written stories since becoming a member, but that one is going to be in my top 20 Favorites of all time. It truly had a realistic feel to it as well as very emotional. I too shed tears reading this. Thank you. |

What a heartbreaking story ... you literally brought tears to my eyes. But I'm glad Snape was there to comfort and encourage her to go on and fulfill her destiny. And he's right, I don't think Harry would survive to vanquish Voldemort without her. Well done. |

I like the last phrases: "in the heart of the night, deep within the bowels of the stronghold of the light." The contrasts of "night/light" fit together, and they gowell with the story's contrasting "if"s. Good point that Malfoy may have had something directly to do with the Grangers' deaths - after all, their daughter was out-performing his son at school!
