OMG THAT'S the funniest line i have ever heard!!!Malfoy Sr.:"No. I planned to pardon all who’d been banished. Except for the Weasleys.”

Author's Response: He really, really doesn't like the Weasleys. :-)

I am reading and really enjoying this story, but i do have to pause to point out that it seems totally OOC for Hermione not even to know the name of Harry's healer! Far more likely that she'd have been in there trying to heal him herself! I guess in this story she's been too darn busy.

Author's Response: Too busy -- that's my defense and I'm sticking to it. :-)

I know we've seen a lot of stories in which Hermione successfully heals a friend that St. Mungo's couldn't, but she's only a few years out of Hogwarts here and has no medical training. With the stresses of the Underground, I could see her feeling that St. Mungo's -- which, after all, did manage to heal Mr. Weasley -- is truly doing all it can.

wasn't there a poem called "thanatos" by the same gentleman who penned "on WALDON pond"? if i am right, and I don't know if I am..very clever word work there by you.

Author's Response: I don't believe Thoreau wrote a poem about Thanatos -- if he did, I can't find it -- but the Greek personification of death has popped up fairly frequently as a character over the years. William Cullen Bryant wrote a poem called "Thanatopsis" about death, for instance. But I didn't have poetry in mind for this story. :-)

Tisiphone, is one of the "Erinyes-avengers of wrong", she is also the daughter of the Alcmaeon (one of the Epigoni) and his wife Manto.{In an attack of madness, Alcmaeon left his children behind with Creon of Corinth. Jealous of Tisiphone's beauty Creon's wife sold her into slavery, with none of the involved parties realizing at first that the buyer was Tisiphone's father. When Alcmaeon later returned to Corinth to reclaim his children, he recognized his daughter and also got his son back.} There's your history/mythology supplement for the day...if you take the pill you get the cookie.

Author's Response: Very enlightening -- she had a rough life. Did you feel my description of her ("one of the three Furies, the goddesses of vengeance; [Tisiphone] is the avenger of murder") was incorrect, or simply incomplete?
