| I re-read this story every so often. For whatever reason it speaks to me, the way they both struggle internally and externally. It's such an evocative piece of writing. If you ever get a plot bunny for a sequel, I'd love to read it. I kind of sense that these two would end up as friends rather than lovers in this little world you've created for them, but that would work too, I think. Author's Response: I am so pleased that this story still works for you, even after being canon shafted so badly, and I'm delighted that you took the time to let me know. You are correct, I believe, in that they are more likely to be friends in the future than lovers. At least, that's the way I see it. ;) | |||

| Is there a sequel? Is there? Is there? If not, when will there be? When? When? Ok... Dropping needy child, she doesn't get it that not everything happens like one wants them to occur or this life. I loved the story. And it felt like so much more was there then there really was. It felt like chapters and chapters where written and not a on shot. It is brilliant. Yo are brilliant. Off to my next fixploration. Author's Response: I never wrote a sequel to this. I rather had the feeling that it would not go where a lot of people wanted it to, and that they would be disappointed. | Me again. Tonight, I was rereading and this part jumped out at me: Who a person is is not determined by one or two acts performed under incalculable stress. A person can perform a heroic act but not be a true hero. It made me think of the contrast between Harry vs Snape -- Harry did several heroic things, but it was Snape who daily and continuously lived with the horrendous danger of being a spy in Voldemort's camp. It made me think of some real-life issues too, but I was just surprised that that paragraph jumped out at me even after I've read your story dozens of times. Thanks again for writing it! | This is a very unique story. There were so many small insights that I have never seen before, so many subtle variations on what might have thought was a well-known story ... you deserve a special category of your own. Thank you.
