I'm at a loss for words - which doesn't happen often. This piece is very emotional yet it doesn't strike me as overly sappy or sweet (or sad for that matter). I get a very... detached feeling when I read this. As if I'm floating in a sort of limbo and ocassionally, stronger feelings surface and interrupt my serene floating - not in an unpleasant manner.
At first I thought it was Hermione saying all this but somewhere towards the middle, it felt as if it had become a dialogue between her and Severus. I don't know whether it was intended (or whether that was only my imagination), but I love this effect. It felt as if suddenly, there was someone next to me, which sent shivers down my spine.
An excellent work if I may say so and I hope to read more of your works, soon.
Insanely yours,

"The absurdity of a war fought by children and academics"... well... brilliant. Just brilliant.
As for the piece... it was lovely. You're very talented. Thanks for writing this. :) |

That was very poetic. You wrote as if there was not a chance of survival. I'm surprised that I loved it. Beautiful fic. |

A wonderful prose poem; I've always found those difficult to write. I think my favourite part was: "How to ask you my secret desire: to open a book and hide you in the words and parchment." You've captured the visual nicely, melodically, and somehow the cliches seem less so. |

Wow. Beautiful and breathtaking. It leaves a haunting mark in it's absence. Well done!
Please continue to write. You will surely gain an enthusiastic following... |

I read this on FA and loved it... I still do. Your voice is beautiful, and I'm awed by your metaphors.
"You and I are plotless, in either map or story. Untraceable, undefined. We create ourselves one moment, one movement, leaving all to chance and the force of desire. For tonight, we are undeniable."
That is one of my favourite passages of all time. Seriously beautiful. |

Wow, Rane, very well done. I had not read this before. And I'm so glad I did. ~~Ellcey |

What beautiful prose! It's difficult to express what a delight it is to find something as unique and eloquent as this. I wandered over from the multifaceted awards site, this was listed. The title didn't stand out, I was just going down the list.
If all first person fanfiction were written like this, maybe it wouldn't be such a taboo. But it seems like such an intimate vignette requires the use of first person. In all of the pwp that I've read, I don't think that I've ever come across anything as erotic as this. Sorry for the babbling, I hope that it's constructive in some way. |
