Fantastic answer to the second-person challenge.
I love how you gave so much character to Fawkes and the sorting hat. The idea of the raggedy old thing twitching with interest and [suppressed] gloating when Severus mentions her in passing is a hilarious image.

great story! why not do another one?
Author's Response: Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I have another story over on Lumos called 'Neville's New Wand', if you want to read it. Otherwise, all my ideas were superceded by HBP. |

This was good. I passed on most of the second person stories because it is such a hard POV to pull off well but you did it here. Fawkes was fabulous and so was the story. |

One of those stories that looms even larger in retrospect than at time of reading. |

Simply beautiful, I have always felt there is so much in the books that could be further explored and Fawkes is definately one of those things. congratulations on an amazing story |

Charming. I don't usually like second-person fics, but you may have changed my mind. It took me a while to figure out it was Fawkes, but when I did, I was delighted; so few fics include him. Very well done, Ramora! |
