Overall I like it, fairly straightforward, although I feel like we were building up to Billy being a potential threat and that didn't happen. I also kind of felt like their emotional reveal happened pretty quickly, and this Snape isn't very angsty, or conflicted. I suppose because his memories are gone? They seemed so ready to fall in love. I'm not sure I'm prepared to believe it given how quickly it happened, but on the other hand sometimes it can just happen swiftly and easily. Hermione too, she was career oriented but I guess slightly at loose ends/a loss in her life, and she seems fairly content with living out an alternative life...I guess because she gets two runs at the same three years? She's not technically missing out, just having an alternative adventure.

For me the death of the spiders ends up feeling cruel. Unless the potion has serious life saving properties, it feels wrong for so many spiders to be sacrificed for so little venom. What potion will it be used in?. But potions throughout the canon books often felt similarly cruel. So many creatures seemed to be sacrificed for basic potions. You were true to canon and it was an exciting chapter. It is not your fault that this is one area of the books that never sat well with me.

I agree with the other reviews - Ronís intention was not echoed by Hermione, therefore no magical wash over them. Hope that Ron doesnít cause too much trouble for our pair once Hermione catches up with herself.

Magic recognized their statements of intention to each other. Thatís lovely. .

And I forgot to mention that it seemed like they did a bit of their own magical bonding there in the end...hmm, curious:)

Aha! The "warm waves of staticky magic washing over them" must be the result of both their intentions to marry one another having been spoken aloud. As long as Hermione doesn't recall anything like that having happened when Ron tried to trick her, that should be okay, right? Right?!? ;-)

Author's Response: You may be onto something...
