| Oh my. Miss Gryffindor does indeed have a vulnerable underbelly underneath all that indignation, doesn't she? Very nicely crafted interaction between them. I especially enjoyed your characterization of Hermione, her compassionate nature trying desperately to convince herself that she's doing this to SAVE him. Haha at least she's honest enough to admit to herself that she's attracted to him. I can't help thinking Severus is past the point of pride when it comes to her desire to make him one of her 'causes'. He's in a bad place, clearly. Eager for the next chapter! Author's Response: Hermione is trying her best to cling on to her 'proper' ways. There's some pretty serious history that she needs to get over but he isn't old 'sexy pants' for nothing ;) He's definitely in a bad place but I think you're right, he's probably open to a lifeline :) | |||

| You have created such an interesting struggle with Snape wherein he's difficult to like, but then impossible to hate. It makes Hermione's conundrum palpable. I can't wait to read more. | I love Luna. And her suggestion for Hermione to HUG him is too perfect lol.
I'm really enjoying this story. Reading him in the books, watching him drift silently through scenes or deliver quietly cutting remarks ("Lupin...taking a little walk in the moonlight?") in the movies suggests so much roiling emotion and feeling under the surface. You have captured the potential and possible result of a lifetime of pain and disappointment. You are feeding my obsession hahaha. Keep at it. It's LOVELY.
