| Poor Sev. I think he has a soft spot for Miss Granger and LM courting her makes him sad. Having her ask him to question Malfoy's intentions must have been like rubbing salt in a wound. | |||

| Well, that answers one question -- Severus evidently wasn't in on Lucius's scheme. Not only that, it very much sounds as if he cherishes some fondness for her himself and is convinced that he's once again lost the woman he's interested in to another man. | |||
