|"He was not about to take her up on the offer, determined to see that his ego would win out over his sanity and his incredible boredom." How telling, that he inwardly admits--though he doesn't seem to realize just what that means--that he'd rather see his sanity lose to his ego--than lose! Funny yet very sad at the same time. Good chapter, thank you.|

|Wonderful chapter. I loved the interactions with the portrait, especially the hint of a smile at the end. Also I am glad he didn't throw out Hermione. |
Author's Response: Thank you for reading, loreen! Severus is slowly coming around to the new people in his life. Time will only tell if it lasts...

|These are really interesting and revealing interactions. I initially thought that Hermione was Adelaide, but I now suspect that the tie between them is more distant--perhaps something like a magical portrait? (Which would only make sense, since she is one.) I was very pleased to see the little smile at the end. It seems to reflect the thanks in the form of a hint about her project that he gives Hermione. (I can't imagine that the Beatles song didn't help a little; it's a wonderful one, even for them.) Hope there's an update before too long, since this is a really intriguing and insightful story.|
Author's Response: Thank you for reading and for the lovely review. The newest update has been posted, and I hope you enjoy it as well!

|Great job,i also wonder if HG is AH just changed to make him more receptive to her friendship? That was my original thought, but now i am less sure. AH's wording and cadence seem different than HG's, but maybe she is just disguising herself well. Lokking forward to more of this story.|
Author's Response: All will be revealed in due time, but I will say that both HG and AH are very much their own characters in this story. Thank you for reading and for the review :)

|I've been really enjoying this story, it's so believable and so well written! I was absolutely convinced that Hermione and the portrait were the same person (and the "issue" with one of the silhouettes after Severus' bonding was Hermione knowing he wouldn't accept her, so they changed her identity) but now I'm not so sure. Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to more, amazing story, well done x|
Author's Response: Thank you very much for reading, and for the wonderful review! An update is coming soon!

|I still want Granger and the picture to be the same person but that would cause massive trust issues, so perhaps not.
The way you describe feeling melencholly is very real. Excellent chapter. |
Author's Response: Thank you for reading and for review! An update is in the works.

|I'm glad to see Severus coming around just the tiniest bit with Adelaide. She seems like she's got enough dry wit and appreciation for snark to stand up to him. Definitely a good match for a Silhouette ;) I'm also pretty excited to see Hermione! I was kinda hoping she'd meet Adelaide by accident but maybe you're saving that for a later chapter. I'm just really interested to see their reaction to each other. On another note, it would really suck to be the focal point of media like poor Severus is dealing with. I have a lot of sympathy for people who run into misfortune or illness and on top of that they get reporters chasing after them. As a rather shy introvert I would hate, hate, hate it :c Anyway great chapter, thank you!|
Author's Response: Thank you for reading and for the wonderful review. More to come in the next update!
