Author's Response: As for the BDSM, nope, it won't turn into that. It will, though, be heavy into DOM/sub, but there wasn't a choice for warning for that so I chose the closest thing. "Darling?" | The offered rewards tells him something about Hermione's hierarchy of needs : she values intellectual stimulation (Books) over health (strengthening potion) or magic ( wand). Author's Response: I'm not certain if that's what she is finding valuable - I think she was walking on egg-shells trying to strategize on what she needed and what she thought his reaction would be to her choice. | Good story, but I never will like spanking or insults. Sorry. Author's Response: No, most of us don't. But I feel like I'm developing his character in a certain way that would play off his canon. | I'm intrigued, although I don't usually care for this type of darker fic. I understand Severus accepting her form of payment, he's only human and it's been a long time for him, but ordering her around like a slave and attacking her was a bit much. She was trying not to be a nuisance, and offered the only thing she has as payment for food and shelter. For the time being I'm confused by his sudden switch from attacking to promising to care for her... but I'm guessing I'll get my answers if I hang around. Author's Response: Please do hang around! The story is complete in 10 Chapters, and they are in the queue waiting for the site admin to post them. You know, Severus (poor thing) did not have a traditional life, and didn't learn the 'rules of the game', but he is very dominant and is going to behave impulsively sometimes.
