Nice job.

Author's Response: Thank you.

This was very well written. I love the challenge of understanding the meaning of the story and the moment it clicks and makes sense is exhilarating. Keep up the good work. Your form of writing as you said in a few review responses is not for everyone but i enjoyed it

Author's Response: Thank you! I know the moment of which you type. I live for it when reading.

And you're right about my sort of writing. I only wish I'd realised it sooner.

You could probably do with being a bit kinder to your critics, they weren't exactly cruel.

Author's Response: If you are referring to Sariana's comments, I didn't view those as critical, and I didn't see my responses as unkind. I did, however, recognise that Sariana probably doesn't have the same taste in fiction as I have and that Sariana will likely be unsatisfied with what I have to offer.

Author's Response: It just occurred to me that you might also be referring to verasuspense's review. I didn't see that as critical, either. My responses to verasuspense's questions (which were neither review nor criticism) was honest on all points, not cruel. As I explained to Sariana, I write the sort of fiction I enjoy reading. And I don't enjoy being spoon-fed answers. Because of that, it's unlikely that anyone who prefers everything tied in a bow won't enjoy my work, and I think it's kind to give them fair warning.

Author's Response: Months later, I see I made a typo.

That should have been: Because of that, it's likely that anyone who prefers everything tied in a bow won't enjoy my work, and I think it's kind to give them fair warning. I apologize for the (possible) confusion.

Very clever. If the same universe, then "Real Daddy" is Snape. The ghost is also Snape. By altering the "canon", Hermione saved Snape, but somehow canon Snape as a ghost got to see both timelines. Ron died for some reason, so Hermione who lost Ron, and Snape who lost Lily, got together and had children. The children were named afer Rose and Hugo, the children that winked out of existence. Am I close?

Author's Response: Thank you for reading. Am I wrong in thinking you are a detective at heart? At the very least, you appear to know your name meanings. ;)

I like this- almost a synopsis of a much longer, convoluted story- it provides a framework for all sorts of different interpretations. I imagine the future husband was Severus and when he died so did the children he might have fathered. Hermione turns to someone who has also lost a love, they have children who see Severus as their ghost father. They're "kinder" than his unborn children would have been but have still been shaped by his presence in their lives. Thanks for the opportunity for a little brain work .

Author's Response: Thank you for reading and for the lovely, thoughtful review! I really enjoy reading fics that give me a chance to ponder, so that's what I tend to write when I'm not strictly trying to make readers laugh.

If your stories are not for someone who actively sought out more vignettes because she was interested in reading more, then who, exactly, are they for?

Author's Response: I write the sort of stories I prefer to read, but I also know not everyone wants puzzles to solve whilst reading fic.

So, my stories might not be to your taste because I rarely spell every out. The answers to the sort of questions you asked are in the stories themselves.

Author's Response: Oops. I meant to write "I rarely spell everything out. Sorry about the typo.

Who died, who got married, and what kind of names are "Bertrad" and "Vadhir" ?

Author's Response: If you want to know more about the names, you are welcome to look them up. As for who died – the answer is in a knowledge of canon. The very site you are reading this story on should have told you who got married.

I had to come looking for more parts. And I'm still just as confused. But I'll keep watching for more pieces to be posted. (There are more, right?). In the movie Beetlejuice two people die and become ghosts who cannot leave their house. That's what I meant by my question to "The Only Ones..."

Author's Response: I'm sorry you are confused. There is one more part to the series, but I have no idea when it will be posted.

There is a real possibility that my stories aren't for you.
