Reviews for The Heir

I didn't realize it was Ginny until Kingsley called her by name. Then I went back and skimmed it again, and understood what I hadn't before ("Harriet" was a clue I hadn't picked up then). Good chapter. Still hard to read, but fortunately not as outright painful as some of them have been.

Author's Response: You have no idea what a gift it is for me to have you read (and comment otherwise it's useless for me i won't know) afresh at each chapter, now the story unfurls before you... And i hope you also understand the abuse is not for the sake of abusing.

wow nice chapters....cant wait till the next few are up for reading :)

Author's Response: Thank a lot for the R&R (gives motivation to keep writing). Those are two very different chaps, and I'd like to know which writing style you like better. Thanks

Keeping the audience on their toe with only little bits of information on how they got to where they are. Good Job

Author's Response: Thank you, I don't like to dump everything at once, besides there's already a lot going on in these chapters, and I have to take care readers are confused and curious and learnign things in the right measures. Yr reviews comfort me it's working... Thanks a lot. :-)

Author's Response: He he... but you already know much more than you did last chapter, don't you? All will be disclosed.... Just wait for Narcissa's version in one of the upcoming chapters... and you'll understand even less :-) Thanks for reading along

i dont like this they are both weak to me, theres alot going on here and none of it goood. thanks.

Author's Response: Why weak? It's always interesting to read your reviews because you read the story in ways I hadn't thought about? I'd be interested... Thanks for the R&R

Also a great chapter. I loved the background. I want to know more about their world, now! :) With every little piece I am just getting curiouser and curiouser and I just want to know more. I am wondering about what exactly happened between Hermione and Lucius. And I am also wondering how all the Deadeaters got out of Azkaban. And why people just went along with it. Regardless of their beliefs, they were still murdering people. I also didn't like Kingsley that much. Most of the time I do like his character, but here he wasn't that likeable. I can't believe he would 'threaten' Ginny like that. Oh, maybe I can. I also liked Ginny. Quite in character as I see her. I am curious (there is that word again, ;p) too see what her role will be in this story. Oh, and I just loved the interaction between Emery and Severus. It made me go 'aawww'.

Author's Response: How was the BBsitting? You felt like S, or like Ginny? Curious is good, I was almost afraid I was giving too much backstory here. KS... power corrupts, even good people. You may meet KS and Ginny again. Not curious about Harriet and her effect on S? Emery and S... that may be redemption. Or catastrophe. Remember S' erstwhile "prayer for "The last time there'd be a child blood on the Prince cot"? Thanks a lot for your analysis :-)

This new world isn't anything like what the Light thought it would be. And it doesn't look like the Pure Blood supremacists all have it easy, either. Now if only we knew who to believe...

Author's Response: Only me. You must believe only me, I tell you the situation is unclear. O dear. I thinjk I was influenced by Europe between the WW, and also by what we saw in the last years, of idealists fighting and then obscure regimes getting, or getting back, in power. Hope in "my" world it'll be different. Hope.

A bit of incoherent rambling. * I so wish there were Next button to hit, although perhaps forced pacing is a good idea - it is not easy reading. Not at all. * Poor needy Snape. I wonder if Hermione's insistence on being as strong as she can be is working against her? Of course Snape could just start to resent her if she tried any less and would perhapst try to latch into any feeling that could ericidate or diminish the love-that-should-not-have-happened. * I'm still hoping that in spite what Ginny said, Hermione's reasons for copulating with Lucius were not that naive. Being away for a long and successful can muddle the view, but coercion would make much more sense to me. * Is Ron also dead or as good as dead? * Played and had fun with a scenario about what (if anything) Snape will do with Hermione's employer.

Author's Response: Thank you... Ron, rest his beautiful soul, is very dead (I like Ron very much, but somehow he always died a hero in my head). Hermione was not THAT naive, but... well, as you'll see, she had her reasons, too. Poor needy Snape is so true. He's just beginning to see what his childhood could have been, and he's trapped on the side of the mirror... Thanks for the review (did you notice the "harrowing" last time?- I think I'm gonna use it again)
