Reviews for Yet Everything Stays the Same

Unexpected time-turner fic. Only to the end of the second chapter so far and I already like it. I do wonder if you'll keep Snape alive and send him back in old age or what since we don't have any info on him after he's left. Then again, this Snape should be about 18 or 19... hrm... must keep reading. Thanks for writing!

Author's Response: thanks for reviewing!

This is probably the most wonderfully-accurate, fully canon-compliant Snape-Hermione I have ever had the pleasure to read. The last line made me cry. And your assessment of Snape's character is excellent. From the 4th book onward, it is clear that Snape's days are numbered because, as you so rightly stated, he has to die in order to fulfill the story. And your discussion of the fact that he could not have raised a child as wonderful as Rose Weasley is painful but true, given his own brutal upbringing. Thank you for honoring this character, for adding layers to his psyche that canon never did, and for remaining true to the story you were constructing. Beautiful work. I'm glad you thought it was worth it to write and post here.

Author's Response: omg what a wonderful review! thank you so much! i'm so glad you enjoyed the story!

This story was absolutely amazing and heartbreaking and wonderful and AWFUL and I loved every single bit of it. Waaaa!!! I want to go and cry. Severus is dead again.....

Author's Response: He's been dead for years, my dear ;). Thanks for the review.

Nobody should have to apologize for canon compliance, or a sad ending. Especially when the story has been as insightful and engaging as this one. I especially liked the portrait's clear-eyed view of how things might have gone after the war; of course there wouldn't necessarily have been a hero's parade for a Snape who inconveniently survived. Snape is my favorite canon character because of what he *is*, not because of what I'd wish he could be, and I thought this story really celebrated that. Thanks.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words!! And thanks for taking the time to review :).

Awesome, completely different take, and totally awesome. It makes the ending of the book some what better giving it a reason rather than just him ending up dead.

Author's Response: thank you! that's kind of what i was going for!

Well done. I like the idea of the title 'The Hero Dies in This One'. And I'm glad to see Hermione reconciling with Ron and Harry, and a little bit nervous about what they're going to see in the next chapter...

Author's Response: no nerves! :) thanks for the review.

To borrow your own words, your story made me sad.But I don't see how anyone could reject a story that has been so consistently true and loving to its/ JKR's characters. Thanks again for sharing. I look forward to reading your next story.

Author's Response: thank you so much for your review and your kind words!

Awesome story, since it is to be continued does that mean the leading lady has a way to get around the time problem without causing an issue?

Author's Response: it means there's a second half to the chapter :p
