| I just stumbled across this story after at least a year of not having read any HP fics. This story reminded me of why I love the fandom and SS/HG in particular! This story of yours really touched me because it's heartbreaking and beautiful and so authentic. Your characters seem very much like themselves and although it's devastating that Severus died (again), I think it's a good ending. Loved it immensely and I hope you're going to write a long fic like this again! | I really enjoyed this story, principally because it was within canon but explained things better on an emotional level. It explained how Hermione could wind up with Ron, but did not leave Severus a martyr. He made his choice and continued to embrace it. In my mind, Hermuone posthumously published a biography (thoroughly researched natch), that became authoritative and established once and for all Severus' bravery. You see, he not only chose to spy for the light, he did so knowing -precisely- how much pain he'd suffer, and how he would die alone. Thank you for writing this. | that was the most heart wrenching story ever. i love the stories where snape survives and they live happily ever after, but this one was so much more true. life doesnt always turn out the way we want it to, but that is sometimes for the best. Author's Response: thank you for your review! | |||
