| I find your ss/hg sex life very realistic, which is perfect for this srory. So, what does ron wanna say to severus? Author's Response: Thank you! I was going for realism on this. The idea that a man who doesn't form relationships and avoids most people somehow has amazing sex skills (which are learned) didn't really work with this story. Glad you liked it! | |||

| Great chapter! Luna is such a natural at her role, and I love how you've employed her. After reading this chapter, I can honestly say that "Just to Be" is a brilliant and well-chosen title for the story. Though I haven't read the entire story as yet, it certainly illustrates the struggles and hopes of the characters, both adult and child, thus far. I also appreciate your comment about Hermione's canon career in the Ministry. I agree that such a career probably placed at least a few constraints on both her intellect and her passion. I look forward to the next chapter! Author's Response: Thank you! I really like Luna; I was never her biggest fan when reading the books (I found her pretty annoying) but once I started writing her I fell in love. It's interesting that you bring up the title--the story was not called "Just to Be" until I wrote this chapter; when I did, I thought it captured the mood of the story better. I'm glad you like it and think it fits. And yes, Hermione as a Ministry paper-pusher is a tapering-off of her abilities, rather than the culmination. Severus and I were very much in agreement on that point. Hope you like what's to come next! | |||

| I love how you are writing this - it's so believable. I really can see the Ministry believing the children of Death Eaters deserve nothing, and Snape being the only one to care about them. And the way Harry and Hermione have gotten involved is very in character. I can't wait to see how the story evolves. Author's Response: Thank you! | Oh, my, this is a lovely, sensitive, nuanced piece. I'm enjoying it enormously so far, and look forward to seeing Hermione's own story unfold - especially the impact of Bellatrix's attack and whether she will open up enough to tell Severus. Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it. Severus has a pretty good idea of what the Trio went through in the war, and that includes what happened at Malfoy Manor. But she's got a lot of baggage from the war, as do Harry and Severus, and it will come out as time goes on. | |||
