I must admit, I do love a bit of fluff lol. I thought the whole birthday celebration was very sweet. Their confessions to each other really were a step forward. Now let's hope there aren't any steps backwards... I'm also pleased to see Leopold has a friend. Even though it might not be entirely smooth sailing, at least he has an ally for now.
Author's Response: Eh, what fun would this story be if everything went smoothly for everyone? ;) |

I do love your story and how the reationships develop on their own pace. I sure hope you can resue those other children who have fallen but are not totally broken yet.
Author's Response: Thank you. I know everyone wants them rescued, and so do I, but bear in mind that I'd have no plot if I resolved everything and everyone this early in the story (we're not quite halfway through). |

Well, I just want you to rescue those poor older girls!
Author's Response: I want them out of there, too. But if I did that now, I'd have no plot. |

The ending was grand! I loved the choice of house and I bet it will make all the difference in the world for now he can treat Slytherins differently and give them respect from the "outside".
Author's Response: It will definitely have some consequences. |

this is such a delightful story. I love the original plot, and the fact that everything is not perfect
Author's Response: Thank you :) I'm going for gritty realism here. |

The whole House affiliation thing assumes that people have only one trait that defines them, whereas really everyone has a mixture of qualities. Whether they come out or not depends on circumstances, as in Longbottom becoming a full-blown hero. Severus himself is as smart as a Ravenclaw, as brave as a Gryffindor and as loyal as a Hufflepuff.
Author's Response: I couldn't agree more. That's why no one called this right--they assumed his Slytherin demeanor defined him, while Gryffindor is the appropriate House for him. It's just a mystery to everyone (including Leo) why that is. |
