I hope you will write a follow-up to this very good story. You are so good at painting Severus and Hermione and I love that they are calm, no screaming and cursing just two sensible people making a bad situation into some good. I feel they will stay together, but I am a succer for happy endings LOL Author's Response: Hi gurlimargrethe, I never really see them as the screaming type unless it got very, very heated. And I see to remember reading somewhere that JKR said he rarely shouted. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the review.

I feel I must reiterate what I said when I believed this had ended after last chapter, only now with 100 times more emphasis:

Beautiful story.

It all struck me as so real, so possible and that you were to do that via such spare, though wonderfully evocative, writing leaves me in awe.

I could have walked away satisfied at the end of Chapter 8, but what you've shared with here is my sort of ideal ending.

Beautiful and bittersweet. It completely makes sense that for full closure Hermione's perspective should be heard as well. Hope you keep writing but no pressure. It is very good already as it is. No tomatoes here! This was a lovely story about love developing in a difficult situation. When I read the beginning, I got a sense of dread about the end, but then when I got to the end I was left with nothing but hope. Thanks for sharing such a touching story. A lovely, bittersweet piece, and a thoughtful take on the Marriage Law challenge. I have very much enjoyed reading this story, and the chapters have always felt full and been rich in emotional feeling despite the short lengths. You did an excellent job of bringing us into the minds and hearts of the characters; we felt every pain, every joy as if it was our own. The slow progression of Severus and Hermione’s relationship from strangers to partners was very well done; like Severus, I could not say when the fullness of his (their?) feelings first became apparent, but it all felt very natural. This chapter worked well as a bookend to the tale, with the end of the Marriage Law (my favorite quote was “The strange thing is Sarah was a lot like Hermione.” Hmm, indeed ;)), though I would love to read the follow-up piece, if you post it. Severus deserves some happiness for once. Thanks for writing!
