| I truly loved this piece so much that I spent two hours reading it on my cracked iPhone screen. The ending floored me I know he truly loves her to give her up but I am really hoping she stays and they truly make love without force. I like Severus he's an ass at times make no mistake but he deserves happiness. I am lookin g forward to the sequel. besides having hermoine with Ron never sat well with me he is cool an all but I e never liked it. Keep up the good work. | Gah! How did I not see this chappie! I've been waiting for it!
Well, the only tomato I would throw as a note attached to it that says: Write more!
I love this story: the slow thawing, the camraderie, the emotional growth in trust and Eli. I would have wanted to see more on the romantic side of things after Eli came along, and I really really wanted to crawl in Hermione's head to see how she was feeling.
I adore bittersweet endings and am immensely satsified. Fill it in a bit; I want to sample more of this bitter harvest! Author's Response: Hi Fierypen37, As always thanks for your review, as for the sequel, which is from both perspectives, so you get your chance to crawl around in H's headspace, it has been started. It is unfortunately wrestling for my attention with a book I have been prevaricating about writing for a while. Hopefully I will be able to give both my attention. | |||

| First, let me say I really liked this story. I wondered why I hadn't posted a final review, then rereading this last chapter, I remembered. This line from your A/N: "Believe me, there have been times when I have been tempted to take it beyond where it ended, but I wanted to remain true to my original ending, I mean it was there for me from the start...". That reminded me so much of JKR knowing what her last chapter, last sentence was going to be at the end of DH--and I wasn't too happy with that, either! I want to say, "Oh for heavens sake--you're the writer! You can change that, go past it, if you want--you're the creator!" But it's not that unsatisfying. Like Mikimoto, I can dream that there's a lovely wedding, of whatever size Hermione (and ideally, Severus) can prefer, with a nice stable life for Eli and whatever sisters or brothers may come along after. A nice stable life for all of them, inasmuch as it's possible. So thank you for all your work, and if there's a sequel, I look forward to it, especially since it's from both perspectives, as you say. Have a lovely holiday! Author's Response: Hi Jong_Kahn, Ah but I really liked the ending, and as I though about whether or not to take it past that point it seemed to me that to do so needed both POV rather than just Severus's memories.
