That was beautiful :) And I really love how Hermione tries to make him see how mch more good there is in himself than he thinks.

Author's Response: Hi MeliJ, I'm happy it pleased, thanks for reviewing.

(Contented sigh) I love this story. Severus' syntax and diction is perfect and his hesitant, guarded adoration for Eli and Hermione. One thing, I think there was a mistake: I think you meant 'humanity's' history, not 'humanities.' I also love the idea of Hogwarts being a semi-sentient thing, and accepting Eli into its protection just as it did for Severus. Great work, keep it up! And dial up the romancyness any time you feel like it!

Author's Response: Hi FieryPen37, thanks for the catch, in the words of a cartoon character,'Doh.'

That was a really lovely chapter. :) It was very sweet and I am enjoying seeing how Snape is adjusting to his new life. I particularly liked the line about Snape's "heart would never be lonely again." At the end, I was pretty worried that Snape would leave Hermione and Eli as a noble gesture, but I'm glad that you nipped that in the bud. I can't wait to read the next chapter! As always, fabulous job! :)

Author's Response: Hi s50m, no, no such noble (and foolish) gestures, I'm glad you are still enjoying it. Thanks for the review.

What a lovely, lovely chapter. I admire how you show Severus growth and lingering fears, and Hermione's devotion. The Marriage Challenge Law is clearly evil, even with a silver lining -- it's the source of so much stiffness and insecurity, even in Severus & Hermione's meant-to-be-happy marriage. Plus baby Eli: I hope to see more of him!

Author's Response: Hi linn, Yes I wanted to show his unconscious growth and their interactions when relaxed. Glad your enjoying it thanks for the review

Hands down, this is my favourite chapter yet!

I'm so eager to see what comes of Minerva's plan to extend Hogwart's into an institute of higher learning; I'd keep reading to see that bit develop alone.

But you've also given us more of Severus's growth, evidence that he hasn't yet comprehended how far he's grown, and you've given us a peek into what fatherhood is for him - even before the birth.

Thank you so, so much for the tiny glimpse into Hermione's thoughts. It was just enough to augment my understanding without taking away from the very Severusishness of the larger story. In lettingus see him through her eyes - even if it's just this once - you've let me understand so much better. And it was a beautiful thing to know her loyalty and friendship are so fiercely given.

Fruit... continues to be not only skillfully-wrought, but also has proven to be well-thought-out and beautifully-developed. Thank you for sharing it.

Author's Response: Hi TeaOli, I thought that stretching the pov a little would help with the story's understanding, and yes your feedback helped with that. I have always thought Hermione would be a friend for the bad times as well as good, always easy to be a friend in the good times, but the ones that stick around when the proverbial hits the fan, they are the stars. Thanks yet again for your review and sorry I took so long to answer but the last chapter had me busy with extra bits. Thanks S.

What a fantastic chapter, I loved it. Severus love for his son was wonderfully written, and Hermiones words to Severus at the end of the chapter was perfect!

Author's Response: Hi Sampdoria, thanks for the lovely review. I'm happy it pleased.
