Oh no. I didn't mean I wanted her POV. I only meant to wish that she had some idea of what he was experiencing — and that she act on that understanding. Not at all frustrated by the way the story is going; it's more that I'm caught up in the emotionalism. Lovely chapter. The reasons for his reticence make so much sense! Still, I wish she had some idea of what he was feeling, of his struggle to remain somewhat aloof for the sake of their friendship. Because it's the rare person who can continue to function well for long periods under those circumstances.

I'd hate for him to break and bring them back to what they were before, only now having to touch for the sake of the baby.

Perhaps she's not (yet?)in a place where she could take what he offered, but I'd hope she could mitigate some of his stress just by giving him the freedom to acknowledge what he feels.

Snape's concern for Hermione is very sweet. I'm glad that Hermione finally saw reason and stopped going to the protests. Can't wait for the next chapter!
