| I really enjoy the story, I have to say it reminds me of the song "Ruby Don't Take Your Love To Town". Poor poor Severus. Author's Response: I've been told that before. I was actually listening to "Born on the 4th of July" while I was working on this first chapter. | |||

| This is so sad. I have known people who have been the Hermione's in life with a spouse that is a total burden. They, however, had many years together and the bond was very close so that the care given was more need on their part as well. I can't imagine being in this position. I bet there are many coming back from the conflict in the Middle East who are thrust into this position. It is hard to read because you feel sorry for both of them. Author's Response: I'm a military vet, so I can certainly relate to how I painted Severus here. And yes, I'm catching up on answering older reviews. | |||

| I'm looking forward to reading Hermione's POV. This is a very dark beginning and I'm really hoping for a happy ending, a way to find a cure for him. He really seems to have lost hope. If I know Hermione though, she won't give up *crosses fingers*. I really don't know where you are taking this. Will it be a dark path all the way or a dark beginning with a light at the end of the tunnel?

| Ouch - how painful. His isolation and dependance is so profound, even though he tells his story in an almost detached manner. I noticed that Severus never actually names his companion. Though there are small clues that seem to tell us otherwise, I think that she might not be Hermione after all. If she is, I pity her for losing so much of who she is. I'm really looking forward to reading more, very intriguing start! Author's Response: Remember, we're only seeing Snape's PoV here. Hermione's perspective is different. | |||
