Reviews for Hyperbole & Prevarication

So how can Snape tell his grapey daughter that it's her mum's fault, if it's been inspired by your prompt of "...But you can call them whatever you like, as long as they aren’t called Snape. Call them Snangers. Call them Grapes, if you want! But there will be no more Snapes or the deal’s off!”

Author's Response: He can get away with blaming Hermione for two reasons: 1). The conversation wasn't real; Snape is recounting to Hermione what he claims was a "vision". Whatever Hermione protests, he need remind her that he can't control his "visions". He's sneaky that way!

2). Snape hasn't read Lessons in Metempsychosis and Saṅsāra because the fic doesn't exist in his world. (And even if he had read it, I'm pretty sure I took the scene [not a prompt] you referred to out of the fic.)

This showed up as a Random Fic today, and I had seen it once before, recently. I enjoyed just as much this time as I did then. I had never thought to combine their surnames before. Grapes, indeed! (snickers)

Author's Response: Thank you!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed. Thank you so much for reviewing and sharing your thoughts with me. (I like the idea of "Grapes", even if Hermione thinks it's a bit silly.)

You definitely get points here for finding the unfittable a good home. :) I do like their relationship dynamic, here, and it makes me want to read the story it was extricated from. Very well written.

Author's Response: Thank you! These days, I consider H&P to be one of my best pieces. I sort of shudder when I remember I nearly tossed it completely.

Haven't even finished but "my little hybrid Grape" just KILLED me! O! M! G! Iheaddesked and then I laughed. REALLY hard!

Author's Response: This review makes me so happy! Seriously, you aren't the only one who did a bit of a mental headdesk at that line. Hermione and I were right there with you. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

I loved the "visions" and the banter. Snanger and Grapes... lol!! Too cute!

Author's Response: Thank you! It was so much fun to write, I couldn't abandon it once it no longer fit with the original story.

Lol, very funny. Love snager and grapes......giggles. sounds like the yet unposted story should be great. I look forward to seeing it when it is ready.

Author's Response:

Thank you, very much! The relationship depicted here is one I wholeheartedly believe these two could achieve, given the chance.

I feel I must warn you, however; Metempsychosis is an altogether different sort of tale. There are funny moments, but it's a story about growth and rebirth, and there's no such thing as birth without pain. H&P was one of three epilogues I wrote for that story. And it took a long while before they reached the point I wrote there.

Cute, but admittedly very confusing.

Author's Response: Thank you for reading and reviewing. Which part did you find confusing? I'll help f I can.

I absolutely loved it, you had a perfect Severus-way to tell Hermione that he loved her (though please never let him name their children:-)) I want to read your as-of-yet-unposted story, please say we can read it soon?

Author's Response:

Thank you! It will be a bit before Metempsychosis is in any shape for me to start posting it. I did a major (much needed) expansion to the first two chapters, and need to go through the rest to make sure I haven't made consistency errors. I'm also editing/posting Wrong Bettor at the moment and I'm doing NaNoWriMo next month.

However, I sometimes send out samples, upon request. Just a warning, H&P was one of the original epilogues, and it was hard work, Snape becoming the man he is in that scene.
