| Retirement can be good sometimes, especially when your mind has time to come up with something as lovely as this story. Thanks for putting a smile on this old girl's face tonight. | Very nice story! If I might suggest an edit: "
No one could deny that Miss Granger was anything but beautiful now." I think you want 'suggest' instead of "deny," to avoid the double negative; as written the sentence means she wasn't beautiful, which is obviously not the point.. Probably a cut-and-paste error from a previous version, but worth the edit if they'll let you fix it! Author's Response: This sentence escaped not only me but my beta reader and the admins aswell, so I definitely feel the 'treat' should be awarded to you for your observation! You are absolutely right - it is indeed a double negative - I shall set about retifying it and thank you for pointing it out &, of course, for reviewing. I'm glad you enjoyed the story :-) | |||
