| I should have commented on this one before. I liked this one so much for its tempo and its characterization. The tone of voice sounded so much like Remus I wasn't surprised it wound up being him! Author's Response: Thanks! I'm pretty fond of this one as well. After writing so much dark stuff, a little fluff was definitely in order. Remus is my second favorite male character... without the influence of the Marauders, I could see him being a friend to Severus. | |||

| Very nice indeed! I really enjoyed finding out our "onlooker" at the end. I kept wondering who it was once I found out it was a male. I rather hated finding out in cannon that Ramus and Tonks had died so I like your version of an ending better. Very nicely written with just the right amount of warmth against the image of cold snow. Author's Response: Thanks so much! I was getting into the winter season a bit early, I think, but I couldn't help it. After Snape, I was most sad about Remus as well. I always thought that if Snape would have had a friend, it could have been Remus. | |||

| I found this lovely and charming, but not too sweet. I liked the way Hermione would approach Severus as if he were a wild animal who might flee (or bite her) if she were too abrupt. (I also liked the very appropriate quote from "Love Actually"). Author's Response: Oh, yes... who doesn't like 'Love, Actually'? Hehe... I agree with your take on Severus; I see him as an extremely tense person, almost like a high-strung horse that will bolt at the slightest provocation, and all he needs it a gentle yet firm hand.
