As usual, this is succinctly delightful! It rather puts me in mind of a five year old story by StormySkize: Seven Minutes in Heaven. (If you haven't already read it, do!) Severus and Hermione have already gotten much farther in this one, though! You capture so much in so few words! Thank you for all your writing.
Author's Response: Thanks! I've read (and re-read) 'Seven Minutes' and greatly enjoyed. And it is one of the fics that this was a reaction to. While the 'trap/manipulation into a relationship' subgenre has a number of good fics, the idea of having other people decide one's love life irritates me, and if someone did that to me, they'd find me very mule-like… So, I tried to give hgss a one-up on their manipulators. (^_~) |
