| Thank you for the update, I really liked it. What I liked most was that first conversation between them with regards to the expectations for their marriage. Both behaved like I wanted them too: Accepting that there was little they could do to change the situation and thus chose the next best option: Do their best to give them selfes a possibility for a, if not happy at first, at least a content life. No matter how forced they are into the situation, honesty and respect for the other will see them through, and as a married couple the loyalty to the other is the fundament of being able to live together. So yes, I loved it. Though I of course hope for the happy ending where they fell in love and live happily ever after, they have to start somewhere and this was very, very good!!! | I'm really enjoying this story. I just hope that Ron, Harry, and Ginny stay loyal to her and support her. | This is an exceptionally well written fic (especially as I'm gathering it's your first - at least on this site.) It is an intriguing beginning & I'm really looking forward to more. Just one thing (this is not a critisism!), I can't believe that Mr & Mrs Granger would accept their daughter's 'fate' like that. Surely they'd want to intervene & take her away from Hogwarts & the Wizarding world in general to spare her from a cruel & unwelcome marriage? Then again, I suppose they had to accept all that comes with her being a witch a long time ago ... :-) Author's Response: You make an excellent point. I believe that Dumbledore will have explained the finality of the situation to them whilst hermione is packing. Plus the fact that her parents have already had to just accept so much and since hermione herself doesn't throw a complete fit, they accept this too. I think that if hermione had been more outwardly upset or hadn't hidden her feelings things may have been different. (i say this because the importance of honesty and not hiding your feelings is a bit of a theme which runs through the plot!)
