| I'm so happy to see this story return! You pack a lot into this chapter, too -- how Hermione pushes to get their marriage accepted by her friends vs. how Severus holds back. And I can see his point, the point made by all teachers regarding bullying, that adult interference often makes it worse. But it's escalated so far...Hermione could get seriously hurt by this, and it's already crushed her spirit. And, really, if Severus weren't (a) feeling guilty about not doing enough, (b) thinking back to his own experience of being bullied & expecting others to tolerate what he could, (c) shy and embarrassed about marrying a student -- he could do something. Be with her during off hours, teach her how to ward herself against hexes, encourage some fighting spirit. If Hermione went off to the room of requirement and didn't come out, it would certainly serve him right. But I'm worried that Draco and his posse are only going to make things worse. You can see I'm excited about this update -- thanks so much for the early Christmas present. And I hope 2012 gives you the muse and the time for your story. | Ohh August 30 is my birthday and also my parents anniversary (they had been married 17 years when they had me). It's always been a special day to me, so I hope some of that can rub off for H&S. So far I really like this story!
