| Its already been 2 years since you last posted. And though i have stood by what you said about this, not being abandoned. I am loosing hope that you'll eventually update a post. Its a shame though, as a lot of us has liked the premise of the story and was looking forward for an update. Author's Response: Hi Wicked, You are so right, and I am so sorry that this story has, in effect been abandoned. HOWEVER I have some news for you - I am now in a place where I am ready to return to this story. It is going to be taken down from this account, and put up under a new account but with the same title. The reasons for this are: 1. I have matured as a writer, and therefore want to go back over the chapters thus far to improve them, making sure the tone flows throughout the story. 2. I need to create an account which isn't using my surname because I am now entering a professional sphere, and want to keep my writings separate from that. If you are still even remotely interested in the story, I am flattered. And I will be posting updates regularly until the tale is told from now on. Please search for the title 'Expectations' (the synopsis for the story starts 'When Severus Snape begrudgingly agrees to save Hermione...') if you would like to find out what happens. | I hope that RL hasn't become such a bear as to keep you from writing. It was good to see that Severus is starting to wake up to what he was doing. I'd like to see more of how these two start working together as a team. I also can't wait to see how Hermione handles things in the future. Forgiveness is not forgetfulness. Author's Response: RL has become a bit all consuming at the moment, but I plan to upload the next chapters in quick succession to make up for it before I have to go back to work. | |||

| Beautifully writen, true to character too. On the matter of the "rape" situation, everything about Severus is old world, which means he would have been brought up with the concept that women are supposed to do as their husbands want, it is their right and only when the female actually attempts to leave is it considered rape rather than just the females "doing their duty" in this case it ment that Hermione got screwed over but at least he got a clue after Hermione had a slight breakdown and Dumbledor ripped him verbally to shreds. This chapter shows the improvement or epiphany that he had. Followed by his attempt to pull his head out of his ass. Here's to hoping he keeps improving. Great story, looking forward to the next chapter. Author's Response: Thank you for looking past the incident itself and considering the characters involved. | I am confused on one major plot point. The marriage law is for all witches age 18 and up, but Hermione seems to be the only witch in her class married. Surely by February there would be other 18 year old witches in her class. Author's Response: The law works on a 'man proactive' stance - women are eligible to be petitioned by men who 'are deemed capable of supporting a wife and family, will be required, by law, to petition for Muggle-born wives within two months of being notified by the Ministry.' So Hermione is the only one because other men who have been deemed suitable had chosen more 'appropriate' wives. | |||

| I completely agree with the commenter raj. This recent chapter has too many holes. Why is she so forgiving of SS and completely forgetful of what Malfoy did to her. I think the next chapter needs to see SS bestow some major consequences on Malfoy for all his passed aggressions towards HG. I also think that you needed to take the time between the apology and the Valentine's Day ball to show HG's tentative forgiveness in action. This chapter went in the right direction, but went way too fast. Author's Response: I'm sorry you feel that way. I can only develop the characters as I believe they would develop. That is what I have done, and what I will continue to do. | |||
