| There was no inconsistency regarding Colin. He snuck into the Room of Requirement with the others to fight at the Battle of Hogwarts. He did not attend school that year. Even so, this an interesting premise for a MLC, but it requires a huge amount of suspension of disbelief. Author's Response: All fan fiction requires a huge suspension of disbelief, especially that Hermione and Severus would ever do anything but hate each other. It's entirely up to you whether you are willing to take that leap. Author's Response: I have just re-read DH. In fact, Colin sneaked back into the Room of Requirement to fight AFTER he had been evacuated. McGonagall spoke directly to him at the Gryffindor table in Chapter 31, when he wanted to stay: 'Absolutely not, Creevey, go!' I stand by my assertion that that is an inconsistancy. | |||

| I like the reference to the Murgatroyds, although technically each is only half a villain: in Act One Despard is a villain and Ruthven is a hero, and in Act Two they switch places, in typical Gilbertian fashion. In another fanfic I've come across, Severus makes a snarky remark to Hermione about whether she prefers the name Reginald or Archibald. He eventually decides to refer to her as Archibald, probably in reference to her simple, child-like morality. He himself is the one who gets his way by threatening to curse people, Reginald-fashion. Author's Response: I'm a die-hard G&S fan and performer myself, (hence my email address!) so I know they're half-villains, but I very much doubt Voldemort would allow anyone to be a half Death Eater. :) Love the Reginald/Archibald thing. | I realize it's totally counter to SS' & HG's ages being appropriate to the Aristotle quote, but we all know that sexual-response-wise, the opposite is actually true! Thanks for the good chapter. Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Aristotle was a philosopher, not a sex-therapist! | |||
