| I don't know how this is the first time I've read this story. I'm not certain if I feel more glad to have unexpectedly come across a piece so compassionate and bittersweet and lovely, or vexed and bereft that I haven't had the weight and depth of this story to colour my image Phineas Nigellus Black in every other SSHG story and HP reread I've enjoyed over the last few years. Either way, thank you for sharing this jewel of a story. I can tell,
from that sort of ache behind my rib-cage, that it's one that will stick with me for some time. |
