Why yes, thanks. I have loved your stories for a very long time, but this one has always been my favorite (but all of the others come in as close seconds). I love how you capture the essence of their love, through their banter and their quiet joy. You make me believe in love again.

The part about Skeeter, coffee and bosoms... I was suddenly laughing and crying at the same time. Beautiful. Simply beautiful.

Beautiful. Just amazing. I love the idea of a truffle in the coffee.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! And I quite recommend a truffle in coffee - most delicious.

"If the women don't find you handsome, they can at least find you handy." Hurrah for Red Green mentions in fanfic! I loved this story, told from the perspective of others reminiscing and filtered through their memories and perceptions. Very well done, and that coffee sounds absolutely divine (although I admit I am a coffee weenie and cannot take really powerful brews--my husband would probably have fits of delight over it, though).

Author's Response: My dad used to quote that all the time. It's more his voice than RG's that I hear, but woot for all the fangirls who picked up on the reference! :-) So very glad that you enjoyed the story. And I do envy you a significant other who likes strong coffee -- my SO loathes the beverage, period. Most unfortunate.

Because it was so disjointed, it was a little hard to follow at times, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I love how you gradually filled out the details of their relationship, letting us see just a little bit at a time, and I particularly liked the second-last paragraph of section IV. Overall, I enjoyed this story very much—and definitely appreciated the nod to the Red Green show. :)

Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked it. My dad used to quote RG incessantly -- it's good to know there are so many fangirls who picked up on the reference!

Completely charming, especially Rose's NEWT-level oral history project -- I wonder how heavily she edited it? And now I've got to try a cup of coffee the truffle way.

Author's Response: ~chuckle~ That is the question! :-) And I highly recommend coffee with truffles... most delicious.

By 'truffle' do you mean a chocolate truffle, or the fungus ?

Author's Response: That would be the former, as I think was fairly evident. I should hope one wouldn't contemplate the possibility of putting fungus in coffee! :-)
