| Oh, ouch. That was painful on both of their parts. Although I must admit it seems weird that he would not have at least glanced at wizarding newspapers during his time away. Snape strikes me as the type of man who loathes being uninformed above all else. Author's Response: In course of his travels, Severus has really distanced himself from wizarding Britain, cut all ties--so to speak. Other than an occasional correspondence or visit from Lucius he has tried to put that entire part of his life behind him. His focus is on the things that matter to him now, his travels and his research. | |||

| The fastest way to find Hermione is for Severus to do an aerial search. Maybe they can use her coat to make some sort of tracking spell ( as it would have her dna on it ). Author's Response: Wow, I like the way you think! | |||

| Now that is a horrible horrible cliff hanger! How could you do that? I'm not sure I can deal with the suspense lol! But great chapter as per usual! I really enjoy stories that not only incorporate British and Europe but also include other places in the world.... It makes them different. I could be biased since I'm from right around that area in Ontario but who knows : P I can't wait for the next chapter.... I wonder where hermione went? I suppose you aren't going to give any hints are you?

I like do like stories that take place in Britain, but I also like to both read and write different locations some times. If I am writing I usually try to do a least a bit of research about the area. | "She walked out of the room and out of the cabin" ! ? She's naked, and there's snow on the ground ! I think the sugaring off takes place in February. Author's Response: What! Wait, no, she's not naked. She came out of the bathroom still damp and her hair undried, but she was dressed. Still going outside while damp and without a coat is not a wise choice. Author's Response: Oh and doing the maple sugaring really depends on the weather/climate. It has to be when the weather starts warming a bit from winter and the sap starts running during the days but the nights still are cold. I live in Michigan and we used to make our own syrup about 20-25 years ago--very small scale--we probably only made between 3 to 5 gallons a year, just enough for ourselves and for friends and family. We never produced it commercially. Like I said, it depends a lot on the weather but we never did ours before late March early April. When the spring thaws started. | |||
