| Wow what a beautiful beautiful chapter!
So very powerful, heartbreaking AND sexy.
It's quite a journey, from the reader thinking Severus is completely unreasonable and a total jerk, to understanding his repent and deep and desperate needyness that lies beneath his actions. And all that written so realistically and non-cliched.
Then the first "I love you"!!!
Very well-written and captivating chapter!

| That was - beyond hot - it was elemental: mud and fire and ocean waves. You shake the reader with the earthy, hot language and show how it's shaking and reshaping Severus and Hermione. Yes, it's sad that Severus had the predictable response to Hermione's dance escort, but then they both seize that moment and become closer than ever. I don't think it matters that Severus doesn't say the words; his trusting Hermione is so much more. He's so vulnerable to her, his trust goes beyond chocolate box I love you's.
