Wonderful story, I find Hermione's plight quite frightening. I hope Snape can help her!

You've piqued my curiosity...when are you petrified, but not petrified? I look forward to more. Cheers!

Great update. I can see why it would be totally "un-Snape" to tell Hermione that she was hit with a curse she took for him, but honestly, why couldn't anyone else have told her the whole story? Luckily Luna came along. I guess I relate more to Hermiones point of view: I just can't understand, neither do I have patience for, the guessing game "I know something you should know, but I am not going to tell you, so you will have to spend a lot of time guessing or searching for the answear. Your time is of lesser value after all, so why botter with spending time giving you information?" . I liked that Hermione remembered Snapes treatment of her and others during their school years. I love Severus, but if he had been teaching my child, and said child was a non-slytherin, he wouldn't have had to worry about Voldibutt or Dumbledore making his life unbearable, "for the greater good" be damned! As I said, I adore him, and I love happy endings, but not with a ignorant Hermione who forgives and forgets all abuse for the sloppiest excuse. Severus needs to deal with his behaviour, "for the greater good" is a very limited excuse in my book and child abuse ain't sexy. I am very much looking forward to read more, not at least the full consequences of the curse Hermione was hit with. Since Snake-face threw it at Severus in anger, it must be something designed to make Severus life hell, but what affect will it have on Hermione?

Author's Response: Well, Snape was the only person who knew that Hermione could not remember what happened in the battle - the others were not deliberately keeping it from her. Snape was avoiding telling her for his pride's sake as well as the legitimate desire for her to recover the memories on her own, which might help him figure out what the curse did to her mind. You are right, Severus was really nasty to the kids, and most SSHG fans let him off the hook too easily for that.

Actually, Snape does show a lot of forbearance with Hermione in this chapter. At least good old Luna has explained what's obvious (to everyone else, that she saved Snape's life)--to Hermione. Good chapter, look forward to the next!

Interesting that it is Luna who knows to get close to Hermione where she is in focus. It's a shame that Snape doesn't whip up a pair of glasses for Hermione to correct her near-sightedness.

Oh, I know! Voldemort hit her with the Love Story Curse. That's the one where you have a fatal disease, but no symptoms, and you look radiant until you suddenly drop dead . He must have seen the movie. :-D

I sense the beginnings of a new, fascinating, intriguing story. I, too, was thinking 'sleeping beauty', but then thought that would be way too obvious. Hoping to see regular updates, because you've certainly hooked me.

Author's Response: :-)
