| Why, oh why, do some in this fandom insist Lily was an unforgiving bitch? You even threw "vain" in the mix! Please,tell me on which page of any HP book does JKR characterize Lily as vain? As for the widespread fallacy that Lily ended their friendship over a racial slur, that is simply not true. Lily didn’t cut her ties with Severus because of what he said, she did it because of what he was at the time: a BIGOT hellbent on joining a terrorist organization that wanted her and her family tortured and dead because of a meaningless, made up status. Not because of what Muggles did or believed but because they existed. Why on earth would she put up with that? Even if she had no morals, it would have been incredibly unhealthy for her to hang around a Death Eater. The fact that Severus was willing to make a singular exception for her was not only not good enough, it was extremely insulting. He didn’t want to spare her because he acknowledged the Death Eater philosophy was effed up or because he was fine with what she was (overlooking and honoring are not the same thing), he would do so only because he was in love with her. This did not make it right. In fact, his falling in love with her wasn’t even his choice. No one has any control over who they FALL IN LOVE with. Please note I didn’t say 'love'. You can make a conscious choice to care for and love someone, but that isn’t the same as falling in love with them. Author's Response: Hi Honey! This is called fanfiction. I'm not sure you were aware of that. This is all pretend in a make believe world. If you are looking for canon only facts and characterizations, the books are probably a better bet. | |||

| So far the story is great, but I couldn't make it past the author's note for chapter 2 before being compelled to post -- I 1000% disagree with the definition of "song" being that it must have lyrics. Songbirds don't know any words, yet they have song in their very name! Keep up the great work (I know this story has been finished for a very long long time), and don't let anyone define your words for you. :) Author's Response: Thank you for the kind words! | Amazing fic! I enjoyed many things, like the chess set, or the portrait to Severus’s quarters, etc. I liked your Severus completely, but two things about Hermione... surprised me: why did you make her younger? And why wasn't she fighting by her men's sides? (Harry and Severus)
Nevertheless, thank you for the great reading! Author's Response: Hermione is always seen as out on the front lines. I think with what my Hermione had been through, she would understand that it's just as important to have people waiting to assist. The front line only works with a support team. | Loving the story so far. I know you said Lorrell is based on a friend. I hope she wouldn't immediately start making moves on someone's boyfriend/ex-boyfriend the way this character is. I realize she just met Hermione, but her behavior is a total violation of the girl code! Author's Response: She probably would. The friend in question reviewed chapters before posting! | |||

| Wow. I don't know what to say. this story was awesome. Favourite parts? Well To cut a long story short, the parts where you would see Severus soften or Hermione showing him love even when he was being cranky. I totally loved the music, I think it added so much to the story. This one was hard to put down. Author's Response: Thank you so much!
