In Canon, Harry never has to study - whenever he needs a new power, he just develops it. IMO, it's not that Harry is such a great wizard, its that the link between his mind and Voldie's works both ways; Harry is tapping into HIS power. The former Tom Riddle may be a barking mad megalomaniac, but there's no denying that he is the most powerful wizard to have been born in a century. I have a little mini-story kicking around in my head now, which wasn't there when I finished the story, but I'm working on something long and original right now so I promised myself I'd finish that before diving back into the world of SSHG. What a wonderful story! - Therefore I was very disappointed by the ending - H giving up her parents is bad enough, but this end with only a promise that my own fantasy must fulfill is unsatisfying. (Part 2) Signed I also wait for a story to be complete before reading it. That saves a lot of disappointment. This one is a great story that seemed to end too abruptly but with a hopeful ending. I was unhappy to see Severus homeless and starving but we know Hermione will manage everything. I just wish a short epilogue would sum it up. Good job with this epic. I'm in agreement with several other reviewers that I simultaneously like where you ended it and wish I knew where they had ended up, so if you're inclined toward an epilogue one day, I hope I get to see it! I appreciated how naturally you grew their relationship - it felt right for both personalities.
