| Excellent chapter! I concur with your other reviewers, one of the best works in progress being posted. I especially like the reflective dive into their feelings and motivations! While you give the supporting characters nearly the same depth in brief well described interludes. (Thinking of Mom Granger watching Hermione read.) | I do love this story. It is amazingly well written. I especially like the pacing, even though I want to shove them together and let them see how good it would be if they were friends, you don't do that, because you know that would ruin it. So you force me, the impatient reader, to savor each encounter. So well done. I really think this is one of the best stories I have read in a long time. Looking forward to future updates. | Excellent chapter. I especially enjoy moments where you capture the subtle complexities of Severus' feelings. I loved the following: "Severus’s anger left him as swiftly as it had come; even fear deserted him, leaving behind an unutterable sadness. He was, he realized for the first time, watching Draco make his own mistakes over again, pledging loyalty to a madman. And, meeting the young man’s wary eyes, Severus knew that any effort to change his mind was likely futile." I loved other passages, too, but I loved how you had Snape's concern over Draco blend into his own regrets. Very well done.

| I am so thrilled everytime you update! The longer the chapter the better. I cannot even being to tell you how much I am enjoying your story, the writing is superb and the plot manages to be totally fresh and original without becoming outlandish or unbelievable. Your characterizations are spot-on (I love your snape!!), and the way you weave the two perspectives together is lovely. I really cannot praise this piece enough--its shaping up to be an all time favorite! Keep up the great work! Ill be looking for updates! | Wonderful chapter (wonderful length of same!). While disappointed in Ron's insensitivity toward Hermione's feelings, I was gratified that he still deceived Lavender in order to bring Harry's nightmares to Hermione's attention. Your depiction of Snape's feelings is very well done. It's a real pleasure to read your work. Thank you. Author's Response: It's very interesting to try to write Ron from Hermione's point of view. He was terribly insensitive to her in HPB, and yet they have to maintain a friendship. It seemed to me that their mutual concern for Harry could help keep them together in the meantime.
