Reviews for At the Beach

verasuspense2009.07.17 - 07:44PM13: EpilogueSigned
I guess Rose and Hugo got over any hysterics at the news of their mother's other family before they arrived at the island. So I guess with both kids at Hogwarts most of the year, and Ron not likely to be available to look after them during holidays, what with all the travelling he does, he didn't push for ful custody.

Author's Response: I think hysterics isn't in them, and I think they had their suspicions - after all, they were seeing Carlos regularly over the years, and neither Rose nor Hugo are blind. And yes, the kids spend half the hols with Ron, half with Tessa and Carlos - with them being at Hogwarts most of the year, full custody just doesn't matter any longer. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

I'm sad this story is over, but so happy with the ending. Well done. A great tale!

Author's Response: Frankly, I didn't know what else to write - they needed their happy end quite desperately ;-)

Wistful to see this end, but I loved every step of the way. Thanks.

I'm sorry not to have reviewed this story until now, but I have been with it from the begining. I've thoroughly enjoyed it; the concept for it was great, very original. Your portrayal of Severus & Hermione was different and unique. A very well written story. Thanks!

Author's Response: Thanks! I was worried when I posted the first chapter that the changes were too thorough and am really glad you liked them despite their different looks and the cheating and all. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

I absolutely adore this story. So different than everything else. I LOVE IT!! The new names and everything. I cant wait to see how everything pans out :D

ok, if the island is in the Caribbean then I will imagine the Dominican Republic, because they speak Spanish. Only it never gets cold there, even in the winter. I tried to get on to the Petulant Poetess website but couldn't sign up because I couldn't get the yellow letters right. Will try again, your stories look intriguing . . .

Author's Response: Well, this one is finished by today, as I just posted the Epilogue. Would be glad, though, to see you over at the Poetess!

Whaddaya MEAN, you're almost done?!?! This story, and all of us readers are crying for more, more MORE!!! Please! Pleeease! PUH-LEEASE! Oh!--and I wanted to thank you for referencing Pir8fancier's story "Snape: Home Fries Nazi"--it's just WONDERFUL! I'm always glad to find a new writer whose Snape is written so well! Thank you again--and keep writing on this one! (Pretty please?!...quits before getting even more pitiful....)

Author's Response: Um... sorryy? There's only the epilogue to be posted, and I will do that on Friday. This story, and I am really sorry to say so, is nearly done. Not much more to say, from my POV ;-) Thanks for liking it enough for wanting more, and thanks for reviewing!

what? I just read that there is only an epilogue to follow this chapter??? my weekends started so well reading the next chapter of this story. I wanted it to go on much longer, there are 5 more years to cover until Hugo gets to go to Hogwarts, right? and then the end of a marriage and the beginning of her life with Carlos (I do LOVE their new names!!) and her relationship to Luca, and how her parents and children incorporate Luca into their lives . . . . . I have to tell you that this story is one of the best I have read on Ashwinder. (the other ones being "Second Life" and "Sage". and is Carlos living on one of the Baleares Islands in the Mediterranean? I can imagine him on Ibiza.. . . will you keep writing? I would read anything you can produce. I love your story lines and the execution, the images you manage to produce, the vocabulary you use and the moods. and the way Carlos can read Tessa's mind, without Legilimency, and is able to give and receive love in this new life he made for himself, it is just wonderful!

Author's Response: You had me beaming all over the face with your review - getting compared with Lariope is a huge compliment, and I loved her fic very much, too. I imagined him on Jamaica, actually, but erased the name because I didn't have enough time to do the research. You can put him on any island you want, actually, as long as they speak Spanish there. The Baleares would be just fine - been on Ibiza when I was a child, and I like the idea of them living there now. Of course I will keep on writing! Most of my stories are stored at The Petulant Poetess, only one Snupin is elsewhere. If you want a link to that one, just contact me. And many thanks for reading and reviewing!
